Collision at 5 Freeway Entrance

At 8:03 PM this evening, a traffic incident took place at the intersection of Sand Canyon Ave. and the 5 Freeway entrance in Irvine. A black vehicle was traveling southbound, preparing to enter the freeway, while a white vehicle was heading northbound through the intersection.

At this time, it remains unclear which vehicle may have run a red light, but the impact resulted in significant damage to both cars. Emergency responders, including Irvine Police and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene immediately.
