Brush Fire Near Saddleback Church Quickly Contained; E-Biker Arrested

At approximately 1 PM on October 6, 2024, a brush fire ignited near the parking lot of Saddleback Church, spreading rapidly toward adjacent roads. Firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) and deputies from the Sheriff's Department responded quickly, securing the area and managing to contain the fire within about 45 minutes. No injuries or structural damage were reported, thanks to the swift response.

Orange County Fire Authority reported seeing a teenager riding an e-bike near the area before the fire started. It's believed that the teen may have unintentionally sparked the fire and made efforts to put it out using a fire extinguisher before the authorities arrived. Investigators are currently looking into the matter to determine the exact cause of the fire and whether the teenager's actions played a role.

The fire, which was quickly brought under control and extinguished the same day, has led to the arrest of one individual, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities believe the blaze was intentionally set, and the man taken into custody is now facing charges related to the incident.
